When looking for affiliate products and services to promote on your blog look for bankable and reputable companies to promote their products and services in order for you to make money from your efforts.
Offer Services based on what you are good At
Another good way to make money on the internet at this present moment is by offering your services rather than creating products where you’ll spend lots of your money and time promoting. Many new companies and startups are now investing strongly on the internet and they are heavily hiring bloggers to do one thing or the other for them, whom they’ll pay handsomely in return.
You may need to launch your service for free, but as time goes on and your blog becomes well-known you’ll be getting invitations from companies or even individuals to work for them.
Leverage on other people’s products
You can use the products of other people to make money for yourself! This is just like affiliate marketing, but uniquely at a partnership level. You tell a blogger who has released a new product to come into partnership with you in order to promote his product together. You’ll have a percentage of the earnings that is derived through your efforts.
To increase the sales you can make through partnering with other bloggers that have products to sell, you can offer discounts to your buyers as this will attract more people to want to buy from you.

Bloggers earn as much as 2 to 4k monthly from advertisement alone, and I’m not referring to bloggers like Problogger and Copyblogger, I’m referring to new bloggers! If you can learn how to monetize your blog optimally, you can be making some extra cash from your blog every month.
You can also display adverts from third party bloggers or websites by uploading their banners on your blog, which they’d be paying a fixed amount or per referral monthly.
Affiliate marketing can help in making lots of money but it needs lot of research and good quality content to make any sales.

Affiliate marketing always seems promising but that requires great networking skills, which might be difficult than actually selling your own product.
I am agree with @Aaron affiliate marketing need more intention if we do it in right way we can easily convert visitors into leads. But not leaving the good content and traffic point of marketing.
